Ingredients are always listed. We don't use stevia or sweeteners in teas. Our teas are also vegan, dairy free, and gluten free. (This does not apply, of course, to our sweets and treats section.)

Extracts and Essences

To deliver peak freshness and consistent quality, we blend and flavor our teas in-house. We use pure extracts and essences derived from real ingredients like fruits, flowers, nuts, or spices – similar to baking extracts or essential oils, but formulated specifically for the delicate art of tea blending.

Our essences and flavors are made only with real, natural ingredients – nothing artificial. You may also find essences like "butterscotch" or "caramel" in our tea ingredients. Rest assured, these aren't artificial flavorings! We use a special proprietary blend of real, natural ingredients, gently distilled and balanced to embody those rich and comforting flavor notes.

Package Sizing & Preparation

Teas are packaged by the ounce. Some of our best sellers are available in 4 oz sizes, and tea club members can buy by the pound and save 40%.

By default, we provide hot tea instructions, but all teas can be made hot or cold.
- Hot Tea: Add 1 flat tsp of tea to 8 oz hot water & steep per instructions. Approx 16 cups per package.
- Cold Tea: Add 1.5 flat tsp of tea to 8 oz cold water. Steep in fridge 8 hours. Approx 2 medium-sized pitchers iced tea per package.

For those of us who don't read :)

I bought both versions so I could have one in November and the other in December.
The booklet says there are two packets in each envelope but it's just the loose tea.
The tea is great! And it does say in the listing that it's one envelope now, with the same amount of tea.
I just didn't fully read the listing.
So I absolutely recommend it (I have had very few teas from here that I haven't liked) but if you don't read the listing fully (like me!) but do check reviews, be aware of this if it matters.

No spoilers, but I will say the booklet says Day 1 of the caffeine-free box is a founder's favorite and I was skeptical. Very skeptical. But it was delicious!

MOST DELIGHTFUL Advent Tea Calendar

I have bought many advent tea calendars over the years, but this one absolutely topped my list! First of all their teas are absolutely delicious! I bought the non-caffeinated one because I found I most often drink tea late in the afternoon and don’t wanna have caffeine that late in the day. So the fact that they have a non-caffeine option was absolutely fabulous. Secondly, it comes in a beautiful tin, with numbered envelopes all matching the tin so very pleasing to the eye! They also give you… And here is so much fun… A a key sheet with little doors that open like a normal advent calendar. They don’t tell you what each tea is when you open it so you get to guess the flavors. Then you can open the little door and see how much you got right or you can just open the door first if you want to just know. But it’s such a cute addition to an advent calendar. They also give a tea for a day 25 which I’ve never seen in any other calendar. There’s also a handy-dandy list included for you to take notes on which tease you really love and which flavors you are enjoying! One last thing that nobody else does… they give you TWO teabags samples in each day not just one. So you can share with a friend or go back and have your second round in January and enjoy them all over again! They really have thought of everything and then more! A MUST HAVE all around!

This will be a holiday staple!!

2025 was my first year doing the advent calender through, Plum Deluxe. Not only was this a great deal, it was fun, and filled with high quality tea. Since you get the two portions, I was able to share with my Mama each morning and made a nice holiday ritual we hope to share many years to come. I appreciate the variety, quality, thought and love that went into this special calender. I do have one complaint that the writing was so small I had to take a picture and blow it up on my phone to read, which isn't here nor there but something I thought I should mention. Can't wait till next year!!

Awesome way to try a variety

Absolutely loved the Advent box. I bought the caffeine free version. I am new to Plum Deluxe teas and this was a wonderful way to try quite a variety. There are several that I loved and will want to purchase. This is something I will definitely want to purchase next year.

I am so happy with the Advent Tea collection. I bought one as a gift for a relative. I was so impressed by the look of it, I bought one for myself. It's so thoughtfully constructed and definitely worth the money. Two samples of tea in each day's envelope means 2 smaller cups or one large mug of tea. You could share, of course, or keep all that goodness to yourself.
! A separate chart with little doors reveals each day's selection and there is a way to record your reactions to the various teas. All of this is in a beautiful collectable tin. This will be a must for me every year they have it!
